Rushbearing at St Oswald's Grasmere PDF Print E-mail

The tradition of Rushbearing goes back at least 400years.  This years procession, service and tea takes place on Saturday 24th July. The procession leaves the School at 3.30pm and walks upto Moss Parrock, (the green outside Heaton Cooper's Gallery) and then to St Oswald's Church.  The service begins at 4.15pm and the tea follows at 5pm.  This year instead of sports on the school field there will be entertainment for the children at the tea.  All are welcome.
