St Oswald's Church Grasmere hosts a dozen concerts each year, the next four take place, as follows:

- 17 July at 7.30pm Anastasia Micklewhite, International Flutist

- 19 July from 10am, Keldwyth Award, Young Musicians competition

- 9 August LDSM Young Artists at 11am

- 11 August LDSM Afternoon Serenade at 3.30pm 

 All visitors are welcome at these concerts and can pay on the door

All services are open to all, the services provide a ecumenical welcome.

At St Mary's Rydal we hold regular services in the style of the Taize Community.  These are usually on the first Sunday of the month at 7pm.

The services for the rest of 2010 are on the following dates:

5 September

10 October

7 November

5 December 

All welcome at all these services. 

 
Rushbearing at St Oswald's Grasmere PDF Print E-mail

The tradition of Rushbearing goes back at least 400years.  This years procession, service and tea takes place on Saturday 24th July. The procession leaves the School at 3.30pm and walks upto Moss Parrock, (the green outside Heaton Cooper's Gallery) and then to St Oswald's Church.  The service begins at 4.15pm and the tea follows at 5pm.  This year instead of sports on the school field there will be entertainment for the children at the tea.  All are welcome.

Anglican & Methodist LEP PDF Print E-mail

From 1 September 2008 St Oswald's Church became a Local Ecumenical Partnership and now Anglicans and Methodists worship together in this historic church.  On the third Sunday of each month the main service is Methodist.

  • 14 November, 10.55am Remembrance Sunday Service in St Oswald's Grasmere
  • 28 November, 4pm Advent Celtic Service at St Oswald's Grasmere
